NaNoWriMo – Day fourteen.

Tomorrow I am taking off of work. Not solely to catch up on my word count, but that will certainly be one of the goals as long as I have the time. Tomorrow marks the halfway point, which means I should have 25,000 words written. As of tonight I have 20,000. Which means that tomorrow I will need to write 5,000 words (roughly 10 pages) to get back on track. This would be so much easier if I had a plot!!!

One way that I console myself when I realize that I am investing so much time into a novel that is complete rubbish, that is going nowhere, that I wouldn’t read if it was my only companion in an airport, is that regardless of what this turns out to be, it has gotten me writing again. It is one colossal warm up exercise, perhaps.

That’s worth the trouble, isn’t it?
