I would have probably said "who" if i were speaking, but just out of convenience and sound and ignorance, the right thing should still be whom... I actually researched this btw, I'm not that smart... Also, I was about to yawn as I was reading about the lion with its mouth open, but I didn't. The urge came back as I typed this, but I was strong again... and again... However, if you are unhappy with it, it's poetry so grammar rules need not all apply.
