Actually I think it was more like 4 piercings, if we’re going for accuracy. If you weren’t a female growing up in the 80′s, don’t bother trying to get this one.
Also, I present the most encouraging text-conversation I’ve ever had:
Me: What’s your opinion of a first person narrator who isn’t quite the main character? Is that too passive of storytelling?
Molly: Ever heard of the Great Gatsby?
Thank you Molly!!

This is wonderful in three ways:
1) Dawn was always my favorite babysitter.
2) You finished!!! YAY! That means we’re even closer to the point where I get to read your work!!
3) That text conversation was a great time for me! I thought it was one of the best text conversations I’ve ever had.
<3 Congratulations!
P.S. I loved that the ear piercings were one of Dawn’s defining features… it seems so unimportant! Unless I were 13, maybe?
yay! i’m so excited!
sweet! I missed the joke, but seeing that she was Molly’s “favorite babysitter”, I’d say that it’s good that I missed the joke
Ha, yeah, it was supposed to somehow reinforce her hippie/California persona? I guess I don’t usually associate hippies and piercings strongly, but maybe Ann M knew something we don’t. Either way, Dawn was cool. She was always one of my favorites too.
I’m excited for you to read it!
haha, whatever Jason, you totally love the babysitters.
ya.. but usually not in public… let’s just keep this between us
Great to hear this … I hope to see it sometime.
