So, I’d say it’s more of a love/hate relationship I have with speech balloons, rather than pure hatred. It’s just frustrating that something otherwise ethereal, like speech, takes up physical space in a comic. For someone who already struggles with composition, it’s a real killer sometimes to have to find a place for these words, let alone the bulky objects that contain them.
