No, I wasn’t the girl singing along with Rent in your art class, but I did love me some Broadway. If I had seen this movie in high school, I’m not kidding, I think I would have kept right on jabbering through the week and into the next.
Movie talk: I always had a problem with Anne Hathaway, until she killed it as Catwoman and won me over just in time for her role in Les Miserables. Likewise, I always had a problem with Russel Crowe, until he… nope, never mind, still have a problem with him. Everyone else was great!

This made me super excited to see the movie! Yay!
Ah…another Broadway Buff in the family…A visit to your new Aunt Lynette always includes a play…23nd Street…Memphis…Hairspray…Mary Poppins…and multiple visits to Fantasticks….schedule soon..and I will meet you there!
My boys took me to see the movie on Christmas Day. I was so excited as I too had seen the play on Broadway. I was surprised how much my boys liked the movie as they are NOT musical buffs. However, we all agreed Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway deserve Oscars while Russel Crowe tried real hard… but can’t sing. Reminded me of Pierce Bronson’s singing efforts in Mama Mia–movie version. But overall I would definitely see the movie again!
